Con questo utensile robusto si possono centrare e forare le lamiere in un unico ciclo di lavorazione. - La scanalatura dei trucioli a forma di spirale rettificata in profondità garantisce una silenziosità assoluta e una elevata resa di taglio. Particolarmente i trucioli che non tendono a frantumarsi, in una punta a spirale vengono trasportati perfettamente uscita. Ciò evita la formazione di taglienti di riporto e saldature a freddo sulle lame. Il cono facilita il ritiro in lamiere perforate. Grazie al rivestimento antiusura di TiAIN, la durezza della superficie aumenta fino a circa 3.000 HV e la resistenza termica fino a 900 °C.
